I am a Burlington first grade teacher of 24 years. I have been teaching yoga as a certified yoga teacher for nearly 20 years. I am also a certified YogaEd K-8 Instructor and have been teaching yoga to children in the classroom for 20 years. I recently completed a year long certification in Mindfulness through Mindful Schools and have been teaching mindfulness in the classroom for the past 6 years. I believe in the power of mindfulness to transform education through a community of educators dedicated to focusing on kindness and compassion within themselves, among their students, in their individual schools and the district as a whole.
